The Chief Minister has taken a review meeting of the works of the School Education Department on Friday. The Chief Minister said that due to Kovid-19, classes from first to eighth will be closed in the state till March 31. The upcoming academic session will start from April 1, 2021. Evaluation will be done on the basis of project work from first to eighth. Also, board exams of class X and XII will be taken and their classes will start soon.
Safe physical distance and other precautions will be followed in classrooms. Students of class IX and XI will be called to school once or twice a week. The Chief Minister has said that every government school in Madhya Pradesh has to be made the best. A committee of academics should be formed for guidance in the field of education in the state. The best education system should be implemented in the state after studying the education system of other states of the country.Minister of School Education, Inder Singh Parmar, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bais, Principal Secretary of School Education Rashmi Arun Shami, Principal Secretary Manoj Govil etc. were present in this meeting organized in the Ministry.
The Chief Minister said that year-wise detailed action plan should be prepared for 10,000 high quality schools to be opened in the state in the next three years. He instructed that the guest teachers who teach well should also be kept in the same school next year. There should also be a provision for honorarium increase every year. Special attention should be paid to the quality of education. Also, make a deliberate policy of transfer of teachers under which no school is left without teachers. Teachers who have been in rural areas for a long time should be posted in large places and initially all in rural areas for a few years.
The Chief Minister directed that during the period in which private schools are closed due to Kovid, they should not charge other than tuition fee for that period. This order should be strictly enforced. Also, foster-teacher union meetings should be held regularly in every government school. Ministers were also present in these meetings.
