The details of the five years of the council schools earning income from additional land rent etc. have been sought from the government level. After receiving the letter from the secretary level, the BSA has issued letters to all the section education officers regarding its compliance.
District Basic Education Officer Hemant Rao said that a letter has been received from Basic Education Council Secretary Pratap Singh Baghel. It was asked how many primary and upper primary schools which have additional land. Also, the school is making additional income from the contract or rental of that land. The income of such schools is sought on the prescribed format. Details of last five years have been sought from Secretary level. He informed that a letter has been sent to all Block Education Officers (BEO) to follow the instructions. He informed that if such a council school in the district is making income, its details will be extracted.
The District Basic Education Officer said that there are eight columns in the format prescribed by the government. In this, full details of the name of the district, district name, school name, total land registered in the name of the school, year, total income received from the land, etc. will be given.
