Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School was opened after 333 days. On the first day, except Classes on Monday, only nine students of class eight were called in all other schools. On the first day only 20 percent of the girls reached school. After thermal screening, the students were admitted to schools. The teachers welcomed them by placing tilak with flowers on the students. The district has Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls’ Schools at Dhata, Hathgam, Airayan, Vijayapura, Asother, Haswa, Bahua, Teliani, Malvan, Bhitora. These schools were closed on 25 March due to the lockdown. Schools were opened from July, but the students were not called to school. All Kasturba Gandhi residential schools have been opened on Monday after 333 days on the direction of the government. On the first day, students of classes six, seven and eight were called to Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya in Airaiya.
In all other Kasturba Gandhi schools, only Class VIII students have been called. The students have been asked to bring the consent letter of the parents. 100 girls are registered in each school. The continuation of female students continued till evening on the first day. Only 20 girls have reached school.
District Coordinator Girls Education Vivek Shukla said that the entire school has been sprayed with cleanliness. The sanitizer with hand washing system is placed at the gate. Ration has been supplied to all schools. Girls of all classes will be called within three days.
