The situation has become clear regarding conduct of UG-PG course examinations for the session 2020-21. Students from all over the state will be evaluated in different ways. Higher Education Department has released the examination guidelines. Where the UG course will be conducted physically in the annual and PG second and fourth semester examinations as before.
Where students have to solve the question paper by going to the examination centers. Whereas the first-third semester of PG course will be evaluated by the general promotion method, in which regular students will be evaluated on the basis of internal examination and assignment of self-taught (private) students. After the guidelines came, Devi Ahilya University (DAVV) started preparing for the examinations.
Educational and examination related activities have been affected due to infection. All the course examinations have been behind by almost a month. Previously, where the annual examinations of BA, BCom, BSc and other UG courses used to end in April, but this time students have kept their exam between April-May.
On the other hand, the examinations for MA, MCOM, MSc second-fourth semester will be conducted in June. The department has also released the exam schedule along with the guideline. Now DAVV has to conduct examination of three lakh students of 276 colleges. After coming the guidelines, the university is going to hold a meeting of colleges soon so that these examinations can be conducted better.
Start the process of calling the application
Even before the guideline came, the university started preparing for the exam. Applications are being called for PG semester and UG course examinations. Instructions have also been issued to colleges to conduct internal and practical examinations of UG. Controller of Examinations Dr. Ashesh Tiwari and Deputy Registrar Prajwal Khare say that colleges will be held soon to conduct the examination. The new rules and exam activities of the department will be discussed with the principal of the college.
PG First-Third Semester
– Points will be awarded on the basis of internal assessment for regular first semester students and assignments for self students.
– Evaluation of regular third semester students is to be done by adding 50 percent marks for the previous semester marks and 50 percent marks for the internal evaluation marks of the current semester. Self-help students must submit assignments.
Exam schedule
For PG first semester students, internal assessment will have to be submitted from February 1 to 13 and colleges from 15 to 26 February to submit practical marks. Whereas for third semester students have to submit internal assessment and assignment between February 15 to 26. Based on this, the result will have to be declared by 31 March.

– Internal Rating: February 2021
– Experimental Exams: March 2021
-Main Exams: April-May 2021
-Result: till 30th June
PG course exam
– Second semester: from 16 to 31 June.
– Fourth semester: 1 to 15 June.
– Result: till 31 July.
Special things
– University has to be an examination center for UG examinations. Each center has to follow the guidelines of Kovid-19. Where the hall has to be sanitized after each session of the examination. Also it will be mandatory to keep sanitizer bottles outside the classrooms. Students must take the exam wearing masks.
– It is necessary to keep two to three feet distance between the students. For this, the university has been instructed to increase the examination center. Apart from government colleges, now private colleges can be made centers.
– Apart from government, private college professors will also be involved in the examination activities. They will also be given the responsibility of supervisor. A flying squad is also to be formed.
