Free education at government level in recognized schools has been abolished. Students studying in the madrasa will have to pay a fee. The managing committee of the madrasa will be able to determine the education fee one month before the start of the academic session. Fees will have to be made before the District Minority Officer on regional basis. The order has been issued by the registrar of the Madrasa Education Council.
Till now, free education was available in madrasas, but now madrasas are being modernized. NCERT books have also been implemented. Now free education has been abolished. Under the new arrangement, the managing committee of each madrasa will decide the fee to be charged from the students for their upcoming academic session a month before the start of the academic session in an open meeting. A receipt will also have to be given after each student is charged. It will be mandatory to get approval from the District Minority Welfare Officer after fixation of fee.
