Under the Integrated Education Scheme of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, a camp was organized to provide necessary equipment to the differently abled children. The camp was set up at Block Resource Center Branch Dadupur. It included 130 deaf children and 285 orthopaedically handicapped, mentally challenged and visually impaired children. All the children were tested by the team of ALIMCO Kanpur. After that 120 children were marked for ear machines and 210 children for tri-cycles, wheelchairs, Baisakhi, Braille kits etc.
Equipment to be provided to children in BRC Chaka on March 16
All children will be given equipment at BRC Chaka on 16 March. The camp was conducted through District Coordinator Integrated Education Rekha Tripathi, Pradeep Srivastava, Anita Singh and all Special Educators. Block Education Officer Chaka was also present in the program. District Basic Education Officer Sanjay Kushwaha said that such camps will continue to be started. The event was organized to give accessories to children.
Every able person of the society should cooperate in such programs. The voluntary organizations which keep organizing such programs are ideal for all.
Call for information about government schemes and joining education
The program called for children from far flung areas to join education. All the children were told that they will read and write only then they will move forward. Physical disability can be dealt with only when educated. Without education, neither we will be able to develop ourselves nor the society. No disabled child should consider themselves weak.
