World Forestry Day was organized today by the Faculty of Education of Mohanlal Sukhadaiya University in Udaipur, Rajasthan. University Vice Chancellor Prof. America Singh said that the importance of trees, three important elements of forestry is to awaken the public community about safety, production and Van Vihar, but for the last few decades we have been subjugating selfishness and destroying forests. .
He said that due to this, many serious crises like climate change, global warming, melting of glacier etc. are present in front of us, but if we all plant one tree and maintain it, then the earth will be green again.
Prof. Singh said that the theme of this year is ‘Forest Restoration: The path to recovery and welfare’. We all have to take a pledge that we should look after trees and do not misuse the nature.
