The Directorate of Higher Education of Himachal Pradesh has issued instructions to promote 1.16 lakh students of School Education Board in class 10 to class 11. The Directorate has asked the Education Deputy Directors of all districts to enroll the students of 10th standard in the 11th grade on a roll on basis by May 30.
Also, the Board of School Education has been instructed to prepare the result of class 10th examination. Students will be motivated to take classes in every home school program. Instructions have been issued in this regard on Tuesday on behalf of Dr. Amarjit Sharma, Director of Higher Education.
Explain that due to the second wave of Corona, the 10th class examinations of Himachal Pradesh State School Education Board were canceled. After this, in the cabinet meeting held recently, the government decided to promote 1.16 lakh students studying in 10th standard on the lines of CBSE. All educational institutions in the state will remain closed till May 31. The government has also decided to suspend the 12th and annual examinations of colleges till further orders.
Students of class IX and 11th will also get a chance to improve their marks. In the
state, students promoted from class 10th to ninth and 11th class in the next classes will also get a chance to improve their marks. As soon as the situation of corona infection improves in the state, the education board and education department will conduct examinations for the students of these three classes.
On the lines of CBSE, the process of promoting 10th class students in the state will also start from next week. Instructions have been issued by the government to the Board of Education in this regard. Both these classes will have examinations at the school level for mark improvement. While the Board of School Education will take the Dharamshala for examinations to improve the marks of the 10th board examination.
