The Government of Chhattisgarh has decided to provide assistance in education to those students who have lost their parents due to corona infection. The decision was taken by the Chhattisgarh government on Thursday, May 13, to bear the expenses of the education of the students in the state. Government of Chhattisgarh has decided to start education scholarship in the name of Chhattisgarh Mehtari Dulara Yojana. Under this scheme, students of classes 9 to 12 will be paid Rs 1000 per month by the Government of Chhattisgarh, Rs 500 per month from classes 1 to 8.
This scheme will be applicable for both private and government schools. According to the official statement of the Chhattisgarh government, the state government has decided to start the Chhattisgarh Mehtari Dulara Yojana for children orphaned due to Kovid-19. Children studying in both government and private schools will be entitled to this scheme and the government will also provide education for those children, who have lost the breadwinners of the family ie earners due to Kovid-19. Such students will get priority in admission in Government Swami Atmanand English medium schools.
