NCC (National Cadet Corps) has been declared as Elective Subject by Punjab School Education Board. Information was given by Lieutenant Aman Jyoti (NCC Officer) of 7 Punjab Battalion. He said that students taking NCC on behalf of Punjab School Education Board will be required to apply six theory and three practical periods in a week so that they can get skills in military training from NCC officer and parade instructor staff of the unit.
Now, by making NCC Punjab School Education Board an elective subject, students will also get their entry on the certificate from the group head quarters as well as on the certificate received from the board. Lieutenant Aman Jyoti said that education boards of all states were giving importance to NCC, while now Punjab School Education Board has also declared NCC as an elective subject. Earlier, the students who used to take NCC according to their interest were given certificates only from the NCC Group Head Quarters. Now, by making NCC Punjab School Education Board an elective subject, students will also get the benefit from the certificate from the group head quarters as well as the certificate from the board.
