The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order to resume online classes in all educational institutions from May 20, 2021. Online classes were banned in UP till May 15, 2021, amid growing Corona cases. However, in the instructions issued, it has also been said that this order will not be applicable to the Basic Education Department.
The UP government decided to resume online classes so that teaching activity is not affected. The students of UP were facing a lot of problems due to the ban on online classes. Looking at various aspects, the state government has decided to resume online classes. In view of the increasing corona cases in the state, the state government had postponed the examination of class X and XII till May 20, 2021. However, now it is likely to be announced soon by taking a decision.
Lockdown extended again in UP
In Uttar Pradesh, the lockdown has been increased once again in the state, due to the continuously decreasing cases of corona. In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday, it was decided to extend the lockdown till May 24. Earlier the ‘Corona Curfew’ was extended till 17 May. In UP, on Saturday, 281 patients died of corona infection while 12547 new cases of Kovid have been reported. Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal told reporters on Saturday that the rate of infection in the state is steadily decreasing.
