Jammu and Kashmir has got relief from the lockdown due to less cases of corona infection, but the government is not in a hurry to open educational institutions. At present, schools, universities, colleges, technical and skill development institutes, besides coaching centers will remain closed till July 15.

Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta took stock of the situation in Corona after meeting with Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, Principal Secretary, Home Department, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner, Police officers.

In the meeting, it was said that compared to last week, there is a lot of improvement in eight districts. There is a need for further improvement in all the districts in the public interest, so decided to continue with the guidelines for prevention of corona. In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, the State Executive Committee decided to continue with the guidelines issued till further orders. Along with this, orders were given to keep all educational institutions closed till July 15. According to the need in universities, students can be called for research, lab. Studying will continue to be done online.

There is no restriction on travelers coming to Jammu and Kashmir, whether they come by rail, air or road. Passengers who have negative 48-hour RTCPR report will be allowed to come. All the deputy commissioners have been asked that all closed government, private offices, banks etc., public vehicles, trains, buses, goods showroom managers have been asked to motivate those who have got vaccination to come.

a person has not got the vaccination, then he should have a negative test report within 48 hours. The concerned Deputy Commissioner can issue effective guidelines in this regard. All the district magistrates have been asked to ensure that the guidelines issued for the prevention of corona are followed.
