The Deputy Chief Minister further said, “The vaccination campaign for the students pursuing higher education has been started from June 28. Under this campaign, 94,000 students have been vaccinated on the first day itself.
According to the official release issued by the government, 60 lakh vaccines have been supplied to the state in the month of June. The release said that the supply will be increased in the coming months.
During the meeting, there was also discussion about dealing with the third wave. The Deputy Chief Minister said that there was also talk about increasing the quantity of oxygen concentrators in the hospitals. He said that the capacity of oxygen production would be increased by 400 metric tonnes.
The Deputy CM also talked about increasing the capacity of beds including oxygen concentrator. Let us inform that at present there are 58,000 beds in the state, while it has been said to increase it to 84,000.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that notices have already been sent to private hospitals without oxygen concentrator facilities. In the notice to such hospitals, it has been told that by the end of August, they should compulsorily arrange oxygen.
