Online applications for admission under the Right to Education Act (RTE) in the new academic session 2021-22 in private schools of the state will start from June 10. After online application, error correction can be done till June 30. The State Education Center has issued guidelines in this regard on Tuesday.

This time the School Education Department has taken a big decision. This time the admission of the children of the previous session will be taken in the next class in this session. At the same time, this time the children coming under the Kovid Child Welfare Scheme will be given admission on the first priority. The admission process will also be conducted twice. The admission process will be through RTE portal. It is to be known that due to Corona, there were no admissions under RTE in the session 2020-21 last year. In view of this, the State Education Center has decided to double admission this time. Under RTE, this year the students of last year and this year will also be given admission.

this will be the age bar

For admission under RTE, age should be between three to five years for Nursery, KG-1 and KG-2. Age should be five to seven years for admission in first class. The age of the child for admission to the session 2021-22 will be reckoned as on 16 June 2021. At the same time, the children who were denied admission last year due to Kovid-19, their age will be calculated from the position of 16 June 2020.

Last year’s students will study in the next class

In the event of applying for the session 2020-21, the students of the previous year will get notional (imaginary) admission this time, that is, the admitted student will actually study in the next class of admission in the session 2021-22 and the actual class fees will be reimbursed only. Payment will be made to the private school.

Understand the admission process like this

Example-1: The parents of Rohan (fictitious name) want to enroll him through the free admission process of session 2020-21, his age is 5 years as on 16th June 2020. His admission will be in class I for the session 2020-21. This admission will be notional. He will study in the second class in the session 2021-22 assuming he has actually passed from the first class.

Example-2: Sujata (fictitious name) is 3 years old. His parents want him to take admission from the quota of session 2020-21. Her notional entry class will be Nursery and she will actually study from KG-I.
