Online classes of all private schools including CBSE will not operate today due to other demands including increase in tuition fee. Private school operators have warned of an indefinite strike. However, some CBSE schools in the capital are not participating in the strike.
It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced to keep the school closed till the fear of third wave is over and the school operators will not take any extra amount apart from the tuition fee. The School Education Department has also issued orders in this regard.
In protest against this, private school operators have decided to keep online classes closed on Monday. School operators argue that the schools are closed for the last 15 months, but the expenses are continuing. The government has not given any kind of financial help to private schools, on the contrary, in this session also it has taken a unilateral decision to charge only tuition fee. Viniraj Modi, vice-president of Association of Unaided Private Schools, says that the government is not taking the decision to open the school. Such decisions are being imposed from above, which are not justified. They say that there will be a strike for one day on Monday. After this, after meeting the PS, we will decide the future strategy.
At the same time, Ajit Singh, president of MP Private School Association, says that parents should get the outstanding fees of last year. Also, the recognition of schools should be renewed for five years.
