Online learning and its use is the need of the hour. Online education is the only and effective option in the difficult and challenging environment of Corona. All the big institutions of the country are promoting online education. Experts emphasized this in the Friday lecture series of Doon University.
Head of the Department of ITC and Project Management Unit, National Institute of Education Planning and Administration, Government of India, Prof. K Srinivas discussed online options for education. He said that online learning can never be as good as lectures delivered in the classroom, but its use is continuously increasing keeping in view the needs of today. He said that gradually online education will also become as effective and useful as it is offline today. He said that keeping in view the need of online education, there is a need to change the curriculum as well.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Surekha Dangwal said that the university would soon organize a workshop to prepare online courses. He said that online option is being promoted so that studies and research work should not be affected in any way. Dean Student Welfare Prof. HC Purohit, Registrar Dr. Mangal Singh Mandarwal, Prof. Kusum Arunachalam, Prof. Harsh Doval, Deputy Registrar Narendra Lal, Prof. KD Purohit, Dr. Arun Kumar were present.
