The cases of corona virus are increasing continuously in the neighboring country of Pakistan, despite the Imran Khan government will not close the school. Pakistan’s Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that even after increasing cases of corona here, the government has decided to keep educational institutions open. The announcement was made at a press conference after the meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference (IPEMC) chaired by Mahmood in Islamabad. However, the government also informed the closure of educational institutions in Sindh till August 8.

The Express Tribune quoted the Education Minister as saying that the Pakistan government has decided to keep educational institutions open by strictly following the Corona SOP. He said that all government and private schools would be allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity. Also said that parents will have to take special care of their children while sending them to school.
Examinations will be held as per schedule in the whole country except Sindh
Along with this, the Education Minister said that except Sindh, the examinations will also be conducted in the entire country as per the scheduled time, in which it has been said that the students will be given a grace mark of 5 percent.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s total number of confirmed cases has increased to 1,047,999, while the death toll from the infection has risen to 23,575. The virus positivity rate was recorded at 8.23 per cent.
