The Roop Nagar police has arrested two people, including the Education Counselor, while solving the case of robbery of one million rupees. The Education Counselor was involved in the robbery after being left in lockdown.
DCP Anto Alphonse said that on February 27, in Roop Nagar area, one million rupees was looted by cashier Rakesh in the name of road rage. A team of SI Sanjay Kaushik and SI Akashdeep was formed after registering an FIR on the complaint of the victim. The police found the number of the scooty used in the incident with the help of CCTV camera footage and then arrested the scooty owner Rahul. Rahul also used to work in the same company with Rakesh and he was also at the time of the incident. In police interrogation, he told that
Lucky Noel and another youth were involved in this incident .
Accused caught in Assam
When the police team reached Laxmi Nagar, Lucky had fled from there. When the call details were investigated, it was known that Lucky Assam was going towards his village. Finally, the location of the accused was found in Kokrajhar where the team of SI Sanjay Kaushik was arrested on Wednesday. Lucky said that he used to work as a counselor in an app-based education company. He also had a private university degree. But after going to job at Lockdown, he
started committing crimes.
The
police officer met in jail said that in 2013 Lucky was arrested in the murder of his mother. The local court also convicted him but the High Court acquitted him. During this time, in jail, he met criminals with whom he met Rahul. Police has also recovered four lakh rupees of loot from the possession of both the accused.
