In the 19th meeting of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee University Executive Council, the budget of Rs 41 crore was passed without any discussion. Revised leaflet and estimated revenue expenditure approved. It presented a deficit budget of Rs 17 crore. The members expressed their displeasure over the budget and called it arbitrary of the university.
At 11 am in the administrative building, the Vice Chancellor Prof. The meeting started under the chairmanship of Arun Diwakar Nath Vajpayee. 15 proposals were placed on the table. Confirmation of the decision taken in earlier meetings and the minutes of the Council meeting were approved. After this, the budget for the year 2021-22 was presented.

Many members involved in the meeting were dissatisfied with the decision. In the meeting, the Registrar Prof. Sudhir Sharma, Parliamentary Secretary and Takhatpur MLA Dr. Rashmi Ashish Singh, Lormi MLA Dharmajit Singh, Co-Additional Director Higher Education Dr. SR Kamlesh, Dr. RK Verma, Raj Bhavan nominated members Pramod Kumar Sagar, Dr. Shivam Arun Kumar Patnaik and Satyendra. Singh Sanger, Harish Kedia from Industry, RN Gupta and Dr. KK Bhandari were present.
The displeasure of the members did not eclipse the meal after such a meeting. It was not considered necessary to take allowance. Named member from Raj Bhavan, Pramod Sagar said that after signing any proposal, the register is signed. It did not seem appropriate to do so before the meeting started.
The elder officers should also take care of the dignity of the members. Member Harish Kedia said that the university does not exist within the state, far away from the country. Should have aimed at the training of professors, academic excursions of students, NAAC grading, new courses, recruitment in vacant posts.
Members say that analysis of such a thick book on the budget was not possible in five to ten minutes. Actually, it was put on the table as a strategy. It was passed in a minute. Members clearly stated in the meeting what they would suggest without understanding any point. The proposal should be given 15 days in advance. So that it can be observed. In a way, it is like insulting.
At the meeting of the Executive Council, special attention was given to the people’s representatives. Not only were their complaints heard seriously but there was also an order for action. In the meeting, Lormi MLA Dharamjit Singh raised the issue of the removal of three women employees in the Corona crisis. On which the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vajpayee assured to give relief in the matter immediately.
