The final decision on Class 12 board exam 2021 is likely to come soon. Meanwhile, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has written to Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal to consider new ways of conducting the exam. ABVP has suggested open book format and remote mode for the 12th board exam 2021.

Students’ safety should be considered

In a letter to the Union Education Minister, the All India Students Council has said that, along with the central government, the state governments should consider the safety of students before conducting the 12th class board examination 2021. In view of the prevailing situation, new methods such as Short Duration Examination, Open Book Examination and Major Subject Examination can be adopted for conducting the examination.

Final decision should be taken only after deliberation

According to ABVP, many state governments are already adopting the same constructive approach for the board exam 2021. The Central Government as well as the State Governments should not take any hasty decision on Class 12 Board Examination 2021 and should arrive at a final decision only after thinking thoroughly on the safety and future of the students.

Along with this, ABVP has also suggested that once the number of new Kovid-19 cases fall, following the Class 12 board exam 2021 Physical Distancing Norms and all other public health guidelines, the months of July-August Can be conducted at a relatively short time.

ABVP also recommended

In the suggestions addressed to Pokhriyal, ABVP has recommended that the final year students of various colleges and universities be evaluated on the basis of short syllabus. It has been said that in the months of July-August, the number of centers should be increased for conducting one-day entrance examination for admission to reputed colleges and universities. It has also been suggested to increase the number of seats in various medical courses from July-August 2021.

The Central Government as well as the State Governments should also take judicial decisions keeping in view the safety, health and educational prospects of the students so that the students do not face problems in future. ABVP said that, the decision on 12th class board exam 2021 is important and it should be given utmost importance before reaching any conclusion.
