In the new education policy, the focus of CBSE is now on vocational courses. The board is preparing that by 2025, under the new education policy, it will make 50 percent of its students proficient in these professional courses. The board has tied up with Microsoft company. Under this, many other courses including computer programming and coding will be taught to the students. 38 professional courses are being upgraded by CBSE for class X 18 and class XII. In the first phase, the work of training teachers is going on by the board.
BBS International School Manager Ranjit Singh has welcomed the initiative taken by CBSE to motivate the students according to their interest and scientific thinking under the new education policy. He says that the board believes that the discipline in which a student is proficient, should be trained on the basis of his choice. CBSE has started training teachers in the first phase to promote professional courses. The board has given a link and QR code to the teachers for training them.
CBSE has asked the Microsoft company to prepare the course material for professional courses for the students of classes VI to XII, in which the help of the school teachers will be taken. Now if seen, the effort of CBSE to develop creative skills in the students will start from class six itself. The board is preparing nine skill modules for the children of classes VI to VIII. In the new education policy, the government’s effort is that the information that the 12th class students are getting by pursuing professional courses at present, it will be implemented in class 6th to 8th only.
