The preparations for the new session have started in the colleges located in the city. After the cancellation of CBSE 12th and Board of Secondary Education’s 12th examination, it is anticipated that the result will be declared soon and the classes of colleges will start from August. Due to Kovid last year and this time the classes were conducted online. The students did not get the benefit of this as much as they get by reaching the institute. In such a situation, the management of some colleges has increased the course to strengthen the career of the students. These include IHM, IITTM, KRG and Science College etc. Not only this, changes are being made in the infrastructure of the institute as per the need. If it is to be noted, the admission process used to start in May every year, but last year after the arrival of Corona, the session became chaotic.
Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Public Relations Officer Firoz Khan told that till now B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration graduation degree was done, but now from the new session Master in Hotel Management degree will also be done. At present 30 seats have been fixed for this degree course. If the number of applicants is more, then further consideration will be given. The admission process will be completed on the basis of NCHM JEE score.
IITTM Public Relations Officer Dr. Chandrashekhar Barua said that the management has put a lot of thought into the students of the institute. Five professional short term courses will start this month. These include journalism, travel photography, sculpture, temple architecture and content writer. The special thing is that these courses can be done not only by youth but also by older people. The duration of the course will be of four weeks.
21 new courses added in Science College: Public Relations Officer of Science College Dr. Suyash Kumar said that from this session 21 new courses including water quality assessment and polished diamond etc. are being started. In order to conduct the new courses better, 12 new halls have been constructed in the campus. In these, along with cultural programs, academic activities will be conducted now. The number of computers has also been increased. Equipment has been increased in practical labs of other departments including Physics, which will increase the number of research works.
Add short term courses in KRG College: Food and Technology, Processing and Microbiology, Astrology, Domestic Violence and other courses will also be started in KRG College. Short term courses are also being started, so that girl students can become self-reliant and take up startups. Along with this, other courses will be added to develop their skills.
