Students will get admission in colleges only on the basis of 12th marks. This information was given by Maharashtra Higher Education Minister Uday Samant. He informed that the entrance test for engineering related courses will be conducted from September 4 to 20.

The Higher Education Minister said that this year the number of students passing the 12th examination has increased. In such a situation, the universities have been instructed to increase the division in the colleges. He said that there was a constant demand not to conduct entrance test for non-professional courses. In such a situation, after several rounds of talks, it was decided that students in Arts, Commerce and Science streams would be admitted on the basis of 12th marks.
Also told about the dates of the entrance test
He informed that entrance exams for courses like Management, Computer Science, Architecture and Hotel Management will be conducted from August 26. At the same time, the entrance exam for engineering courses will be in two parts. The first session will run from September 4 to 10, while the second session will be held from September 14 to 20. Apart from this, the entrance exam for LLB courses will start from September 16.
