We are lagging behind in the matter of education. 12 out of 24 districts of Jharkhand state are educationally backward. It is not us but the UGC report is telling. This fact has come to the fore in response to a question asked in the Lok Sabha recently. The 12 districts which are very backward educationally include five districts of Santal. Only the jamtara there is not included in this. Actually, Rama Devi, MP from Sheohar in Bihar and Harish Dwivedi, MP from Basti in UP had put a question on the floor of the House. Then Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan informed the House that a committee of UGC has identified educationally backward districts in the country. There are 374 districts in the country which are educationally backward.

The districts were identified on the basis of these parameters.

The Union Education Minister said that the UGC committee had fixed the identity of such districts as a standard. In this, points like Gross Enrollment Ratio, Average Enrollment Per College, College Population Ratio were made the basis. The report was then prepared after analyzing the data.

These districts of Jharkhand are educationally backward

Dumka, Pakur, Godda, Deoghar, Sahibganj, Chatra, Garhwa, Gumla, Koderma, Giridih, Palamu and West Singhbhum.

On top of Rajasthan, Bihar is also ahead of us

In the case of educationally backward states, Rajasthan is at the top in the country. Here 30 out of 33 districts are backward. That is, overall 91 percent of the districts here are backward. Madhya Pradesh is in second place, here 39 out of 52 i.e. 76 percent, in Tamil Nadu 27 out of 38 i.e. 71 percent, in Bihar 25 out of 38 districts i.e. 66 percent are backward. Jharkhand is at the eighth position in the country with 50 percent in this list.

Every effort is being made to improve the conditions

To promote higher education in these districts, 194 Model Degree Colleges are being established. 64 colleges will be opened under UGC and 130 colleges under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA). At the same time, National Education Mission, Online Course and Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Education Mission have been started. A holistic education program is also being run. So that children can enhance their knowledge by understanding the subject matter deeply. It is the effort of the government that the teachers should make the children study in such a way that the class of the children becomes interesting. About 15.6 crore students and 57 lakh teachers from 11.6 lakh schools have been covered. in order to improve the educational level.
