Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has announced on Tuesday that the JEE (Main) – May 2021 session has been postponed. He said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the current status of Kovid-19 and the safety of students. The Union Minister advised the students to keep checking the official website of NTA for further updates.
Earlier on Monday, amidst the growing threat of Corona, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took an important decision to increase the availability of medical personnel to fight Kovid-19. Under this, NEET-PG examination was asked to be postponed for at least 4 months.
According to the statement issued by the PMO office, MBBS final year students can be used to supervise teleconstruction and mild covid cases under the supervision of faculty. Under the supervision of senior doctors and nurses, qualified nurses of BSC / GNM will be used in full-time Covid nursing.
The PMO said that those medical workers who have completed 100 days in Kovid duty will be honored with the prestigious Kovid National Service Award. Along with this, medical workers who complete 100 days on Kovid duty will be given priority in regular government recruitment. Medical interns will be posted on Covid Management Duty under the supervision of their faculty.
